WORKSHOP/LECTURE TOUR
Normally, I set up meetings and work with programs in the town in which I
am living at the moment. This way I am within driving distance of the
people who need me for one reason or another.
Often I sponsor people who get some recovery under their belt - and
then they relocate. They usually set up meetings and do advocacy work
where they have moved to - but since they have spent time with me and in
the program they are very effective at this.

Powell are shining examples of what I am talking about. I am
not violating their "anonymity" by mentioning them by name since they
have gone public about their work already.
When I get calls from individuals needing help - most of them are
living in another state, or another country. However, every 12 step
program got started this way and recovery has flourished.
Thanks to raised public awareness and new political involvement in
the subject of sex trafficking and prostitution - suddenly programs are
being set up all over the USA by people who see there's a problem and
want to help.
However, alcoholism was 100 % percent a terminal disease before
Bill Wilson, a recovering alcoholic, formed Alcoholics Anonymous. The
alcoholic previously had programs, hospitals, churches, doctors, loving
families - and none of them produced any lasting sobriety for the
alcoholic until Bill started spreading Alcoholics Anonymous, and his
philosophy about sobriety, throughout the world.
These new programs which have been set up to help sex trafficking
victims and sex workers - also have great resources at their fingertips -
but are finding the rate of recovery in their programs very low. I've
been getting calls from the US and even other countries from these
people and programs asking for help in improving them.
From March of 1991 to March of 2010 - I was a single mother of a
minor child in school. This meant I had to stay in one location to
focus on her schooling and home environment. However, on March 6, 1991,
my daughter reached the age of 19 and is at a break in her schooling.
The family members I was caring for have also passed away - so I am no
longer died to a specific location.
Looking around - I see programs popping up all over the place to
help sex workers and trafficking victims, yet I can count on one hand
the amount of people I know who have training and experience in
effectively helping this community besides myself. Over the years, many
have died or retired. I feel this is a perfect time in my life when I
can embark upon a tour to bring lectures and workshops into your area to
help my sisters and brothers.
So I have decided to set up a USA national lecture/workshop/media
tour (going to other countries after I've gone from west to east coast).
I'm going to start on the west coast of California and work my way
back east. Many news programs can't do interviews with me unless I'm
physically in the studio - so I will be contacting the media in each
major city offering an interview. I will also set up lectures to raise
community awareness into the issues of sex workers in recovery and sex
trafficking explosion at community churches, groups, government boards,
courts, correctional systems, etc.
Then I will be offering workshops to those who are working with
this community to increase their effectiveness in creating change and
guiding them into recovery and healing. Hopefully, I will be allowed to
go into the jails, prisons, programs, etc., to actually spend some time
connecting with my sisters and brothers to see how we can help each
other heal through the empathy that makes the 12 step process so
effective. This way I can interact with members "face to face" instead
of only on the phone or online as I do now with anyone outside my
driving area.
I never charge for my work with men and women desiring to heal from
the sex industry. However, I have earned my experience and paid
handsomely for the training I have received that makes my work so
effective. Plus plane tickets and hotel rooms to visit your town
doesn't grow on trees - so I will be charging for my workshops and
lectures to pay for my travel expenses to get to town and for my
lodgings.
